Has anyone out there used or tried Mirafoil coating? This is a coating that is applied through a inline coater with an anilox roller. This an alternitive to buying foil board. If anyone in sheetfeed has any experince it would be appreciated.

This is a Henkle product - You need to contact the company because they have critical specification that need to be followed when running mirafoil.

This is a foil substitute, which is an ideal replacement when foil coverage is less than 50% of substrate surface. The coating is applied throught the press coating tower and a uv gloss coating is recommened to print on top in order to provide protection and to maintain the shine. Very incredible specialty coating, this is very expensive but it does reduce the cost of foil or mylar board and has multiple advantages in manufacturing.
