Hi all

Past 1 year facing problem .5mm gripper difference in two of my lotem 800v2...

instead of 38 mm on both left and right gripper getting 37.5 mm on punchside (leftside) rightside 38mm

1.Adjusted spiral punch -- Result few plates gripper ok afterthat same gripper issues on all sizes..

2. Changed Spring Rolls - Result no improvement

3. Changed Suckers - Result no improvement..

4. Changed centering belt - result no improvement but 5 mm difference in Horizontal side.. (any suggestion that whether this could be a reason for gripper difference...)

5. Tried X in drum and y in drum final too no improvement...

Any one suggestion will highly appreciate..

1. keep adjusting - this regulates the depth of the punch hole and angle of plate on drum
2. not related
3. not related
4. not related but you should adjust it to center the plate on drum
5. keep adjusting - increasing x in drum final in absolute value will push the plate further towards drum and will help in case a plate is slightly crooked on the cups

1. Keep adjusting sometime reduce the punch size and plate is not getting gripped at gripper ; if we adjusted it makes 2mm more or more not match to .5mm difference...
sometime punch size is irregular and plate get damaged at drum to drum position...

Iam using only one resolution but different size of plates... if we adjust gold ring in spiral punch few plates get correct gripper then again as usual problem starts... is there is anthing need to adjust or settings for spiral punch..

2. ok

3. ok

4. ok

5. will try and suggest me how much to increase 2 mm or 3mm or 5mm like that and how u will find the difference...

Hi Nemo

Hello Kala,
I am back.
I said this to you before, that if you can not adjust the Spiral Punch using the procedure than, disconnect the motor that drives the punch in the linear direction and adjust the BRASS ring by hand ( using trial and error) until the hole is just correct for the plate to touch the 2 pins on the drum ( under the grippers) and the measurements will be equal at both ends. You will have to expose a plate every time with a horizontal line running across the plate.
OR. maybe even that your X/Y assy is not parallel to the drum. Have a look if it is rubbing on the Right hand side of the frame. You should see black marks there.

Every Lotem has some default registry values and the rest are adjusted to that one machine in particular. Have a go at what I asked you to do before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Patch

Nothing works out no improvement...

i disconnected both the right hand / left hand side connector near by punch motor and adjusted brass wheel clockwise and anti clockwise (trial and error basis) yes there is a difference in measurement but the problem is its getting increased by 1mm or 2mm instead of .5mm

Pls find attached image for ur reference and let me know any other solutions / procedures to move further...

Patch / Nemo

Any suggestions regarding this...

How to check X/Y assy is paralle or not ?

Back from holiday?
Anyway, when you made the changes did you see visualy a small change in the Spiral hole? You can see this by putting the plates next to each other verticaly and square it up on a flat surface. In your case I think that you have to reduce the Spiral hole.

Hi Patch

Yes, I am back..

Pls find attached image for details and understood that there is no change in the spiral hole as per image and changes in the widthwise..

Whats next?

Kala,
Adjusting the brass ring on the Spiral Punch should move the assy horizontaly therefore changing the position of the plate inside the punch so when the punch is activate it should make the hole smaller or larger. YOu can check the size of the hole after every adjustment "manualy" . You only need to put the cheeters in; push a plate to the front squaring pins; and activate Punch No.3 Have a go and check it.
