Neenah Packaging, responding to market demands, has introduced new hemp fiber papers, colors and new finishes into its recently expanded line of Folding Board papers. According to a 2019 Industry Research study, the global CBD (Cannabidiol) market is expected to grow at a CAGR of roughly 32% over the next 5-years.

The new substrates are available in a range of stocked options, custom capabilities, and PCW content ranging from 30% to 100%, all of which are FSC Certified, and available in a Vellum finish, in 3 of Neenah Folding Board’s most popular shades:
  • New PC White Hemp: The hemp fibers are highly visible in this bright white, 80% PCW sheet, for brands that want to clearly identify the use of hemp papers in their package design.
  • New Desert Storm Hemp: A more earthy and subtle showing of fibers add visual texture.
  • New Deep Black Hemp: This rich, dyed-through, 30% PCW board is for brands that want to use hemp papers without seeing the fibers.
  • New Industrial Black: This new color is a lighter, everyday, beater dyed black board.
Matte Finishes—Although coated, these papers do not have a shine but provide a matte look:
  • New Soft Touch Single: Coated—one side—this velvety surface adds touchable texture.
  • New Pearlized Single: Coated—one side—this board adds shimmer and shine.
  • New Matte Single: Coated—one side—this sheet offers a subtle matte finish.
  • New Matte Double: Coated—two sides—the subtle matte finish coats both sides.
These new items can be found in the new Neenah Folding Board swatchbook. For a copy of the swatchbook, contact your local sales representative or merchant.
