Interesting how the car colors don't really match the printed colors all that well. I guess HotWheels didn't replace them every 12-18 months like you're supposed to.
I wonder if they're subscription based?

The color is probably matching, it is just your camera not reading the values correctly. As we all know, Pantone is right on, all the time.

I googled the words "Pantone" and "Collaborations". I was amazed at the number of collabs they have done with various companies, fabrics, and entertainment industries.

They even have a "Bates Motel" Blue with the motel and Anthony Perkins!

Yep. It's the old YMMV disclaimer.

Hey, printers should use that disclaimer on their work products. It would cut down on the number of reruns.

GATF/PIA use to publish the "Printing Trade Customs" document that informed customers of normal policy and procedures regarding print production practices.
Color Variation was always listed as "Commercially Acceptable."

The Pantone Matching System is actually just a color reference tool (not a standard) in the graphic arts industry, and should only be regarded as such. With Pantone’s own seemingly forever tweaking and adjusting formulas within their own system, it’s hard to understand how designers and printers using it could ever seriously think of it* as anything more than that!

In school Cincinnati State back then ... Pantone Matching System should be Pantone Compromise System. Truest thing I learned. "credit Mr. Gary Walton"
