Oki c9650 - Toner not adhering

Hi All,

We have a new Oki c9650 that we purchased to use for full color envelope printing. With the initial printing we have done, sometimes it works great, and other times the toner does not adhere to the envelope. It ends up putting ghost images and toner all over the envelope. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be going on? It seems to work well for the first 5 or so envelopes, then has the problem. Any thoughts on the settings we should try? We are using 80lb smooth envelopes.

If original toner used, then too low temperature, use heavy paper setting. Yes, it´s so slow then.

Think about this - your envelope is #80, but it is always two layers, 3 at the point of overlap... as advised - run your printer at higher temp setting.

80# is pushing it thickness-wise when it comes to envelopes. Get yourself a wallpaper roller and try flattening the lead and tail edges before printing. If the problem disappears, you'll know it's a thickness issue.

Med-Heavy driver setting should be adequate. Heavy, otherwise.

If you are using anything other than Oki brand toner, you can expect this kind of issue.
