oki cx3641 having trouble?

I have a oki cx3641 that is usually working great. I changed a black drm and toner this morning and since then i have a line of tiny black specks on every page about 2 inches apart on exactly the same place on every page that is printed. what is happening and how can i fix this?

I just put in a new one this morning I started having this problem soon afterwards.

Some drums have defects you cannot see but will pick up toner in same spot and circumfrence of the roller is about 1.5 inches so it repeats

Wow! thank you so much. I put back in the old drum and what do you know! no black specks. Thank you, now let me see if i can get a refund on that drum.

You might also try blowing off that new drum. There might be some crummy stuff on there. Don't keep it open too long, just enough to blow it off. It helps sometimes.

I did look to see if I could find anything that shouldn't be there but I didn't see anything unusual- I already packed it up to ship back.
