Reminds me of my first promotion in to management back in my early twenties. Man, was I proud! My head was so big, it was hard to get through the door. Took me two months to realize that I just got a 50% reduction in take home pay because I was no longer getting overtime. Royally screwed. Live and learn...........

I worked for a small newspaper owned by a corporation. During periods when overtime was not allowed, the salaried department managers had to stay late and finish our work.

By the way, doesn't Amy get a name plaque? Business cards alone just won't cut it. Gotta keep your employees happy.

I once worked at a place where overtime pay was half time, not time and a half. That is, until somebody tattled to the labor board. (No, it wasn't me, that had all blown over by the time I was hired.)

I just stepped into that position, but hey when you work for the state no one gets OT!!!
