Graphic Packaging's PaperSeal tray has been selected as the winning solution by New Seasons Market to replace plastic clamshell packaging currently used on the grocer's Partner Brand Fresh Pasta. The PaperSeal tray debuts in April and enables New Seasons to use 91% less plastic in each pack, eliminating 120,000 plastic packs, annually, from entering waste streams.
Available in multiple formats, including modified atmosphere (MAP), vacuum skin (VSP) and non-MAP top-seal trays, PaperSeal can be used to pack fresh & processed meat, chilled & frozen ready meals, cheese, snacks, salad, fruit, etc. According to Graphic Packing, “Since PaperSeal tray’s launch, it has been widely adopted across Europe, Japan and Australia, winning numerous sustainability awards; and has become a go-to-choice for businesses looking to reduce plastic in their packaging, while maintaining freshness."
