Both X-Rite and Techkon have solutions but it depends on what you mean by inexpensive.

thank you for all the reply. actually i have budget approved for v2 of the xrite one, just exploring other brand or make that will function same. i have been using the v1 for a long time now and it is due for upgrade. thanks to all

www.argyllpro.com on an android phone with a usb-to-go adapter will enable your use of an i1pro spectro in a very portable manner.

The Nix Spectro L is $479 and the Spectro 2 is $1199. Both are about the size of a tennis ball and work via bluetooth. They both can capture density, Lab and tvi. Density and Lab can be measured by using the device and the free Nix Toolkit app on a mobile device. You would need to pair them to Nix Print Pro desktop to get tvi. PrintPro desktop is a subscription based software for $99 a month.
