Went to a customer today who was complaining about lousy performance of the Sonora plate.
After a few minutes it was clear that the plates were performing as expected, however the prints were washed out with a, let´s call it a "variable" SID.
After excluding the plates my focus turned to the PH of the fountain.
They gave me some teststrips that were laying around.

Pregnancy teststrips, you try to keep a deadpan face telling the customer that his Heidelberg is not expecting.

In the end it turned out to be a oil leak dribbling on the blanket.

Pregnancy would explain the behavior of a press I used to run, expect the gestation period was far longer........
