So true. My last place had our CFO acting as IT!
Is it me, or is there generally a serious lacking of any common sense in todays print owners? They have no idea what it takes to run a shop successfully and have no intention of investing in their most important asset of all....THE EMPLOYEES WHO KEEP THE PLACE RUNNING!
That being said, I agree with quite a few of the comments here.
1. Job security is a wonderful thing
2. Educating yourself is the best way to learn and expand what you can offer your next employer
3. Playing dumb works sometimes, but most of the time the problem will only snowball until it comes rolling back down the hill on you
My last comment is this...the grass is not always greener on the other side. Try to keep things in a healthy perspective.
