Position Summary: Ensure that print jobs, supplies, and presses are coordinated to maintain
RBC print standards of quality, timeliness, and cost. Fulfill Team Leader responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
1. Plan press operations to meet schedules and budget. Determine press capacities, space requirements, and proper work-in-process buffers between departments.
2. Plan future capital acquisitions of related equipment.
3. Fulfill all Team Leader responsibilities for Press Operations Team (includes leading the team in planning and managing daily tasks, measuring effectiveness, building individual and team competence, coordinating performance plans/reviews, and maintaining an effective work environment).
4. Ensure adherence to all OSHA, MIOSHA and RBC safety rules.
5. Conduct a continuous improvement program designed to minimize or eliminate quality problems based on “zero defects” policy.
6. Plan and conduct strategic action to correct quality shortfalls for each cost center in press operations.
7. Prepare and plan the transition of workflow from traditional to digital output.
