The processing occurs ar the digital front end. With a production machine you can add a lot of horsepower to your processing with a bustled or external controller. It's going to speed up processing time a lot.

Depends on a lot of factors though, such as how the machines are configured and connected. For example... We've just got rid of some old KM's that had bustled fiery controllers. They spent longer processing PDF's than the €300 HP laser I had on my desk.
