Proper delivery ducting

We have a 40" Komori 640P that has the duct from the delivery running approximately 30' on a horizontal run to a 1 hp fan mounted on an outside wall.

We have a fair amount of powder showing up on the outside of the building below the vent which is about 15 feet high. Is this a satisfactory way to vent a delivery or would we be better served going straight up through the roof?

The duct on the Baldwin dryer does go straight up.

The fact that it shows up on the outside wall indicates that it is being removed from the press area to some extent. But wether that is appropriate depends on your local environmental ordinances. You may be required to accumulate it as a solid mass by some means and dispose of it in a land fill or by incineration.
