Hello guys,
We have the 6100 connected with the SD-513 (Square Spine) finisher.
I found that the crease is making the booklet a little bit of skew and when i make booklet without the crease is coming out perfect
I asked out tech guys and they said that the manufacture says that the crease has 2mm+- of skew.
this is really weird for me to hear that.
do people here who also have the machine came across this?
this is really intrests me
Thank you.

Is the skew consistent? Same degree, same direction? If so it's not tolerance. If it can skew with such accuracy, it can fold straight with equal accuracy. Ask them if the machine was designed to make skewed books. Yes or no. Then tell them to fix it.

The skew is allways the same direction and same degree. it does makes problems when we make book fold from A3>A4. the deviation is very big
They said this is not fixable due to manufacture said crease has 2mm of skew.
there is no option in the machine to fix it only mechanic
the thing is. i wanted to know if people have came across this.

I agree with gregbatch ....don't back down because the tech says this. Sometimes the tech is just being lazy or doesn't know how to fix it so they with claim it's within specs. Sure, the books can waiver on the skew, but if it's consistently off by the same amount, it needs to be repaired or replaced. Call your sales rep and ask for the number of the service manager or even the service VP. There is usually an area "super-tech" specialist who is called in when the local techs can't fix an issue.
