Hi,
Our company is looking for a Ratio Binder which can be prep book blocks for our case in line and also do perfecting binding. We have been offered 2 machine one from 1990 and one from 1996 - the 1990 machine has everything that we would have wished for - the 1996 has few things missing which we feel would reduce our working speed but it is 6 years younger. The 1990 Line is very well maintained.

Can someone with experience tell me the disadvantages of the 1990 machine over the 1996. We would have ideally liked to go for a 2000 or younger machine but have been searching for last 6 months and have not come across even one machine while meets our requirement (End Paper Attachment - Reverse Direction option for gathering - book block feeder for sewn books).
