Lol. We actually do this! We recycle and reuse both the boxes and the paper wrappers that our paper gets delivered in for packaging for our shipments. Never had a customer complain about it though.

Same! We have a big box labeled "stuffing" where we put the paper wrappings to use as filler in the boxes. And we re-box almost everything in the paper boxes. We use very few fresh/new boxes for everything other than business cards.

That being said...I wasn't sure if the comic was referencing what we're doing or if it's about companies that outsource the job and it comes in the 3rd party packaging instead...?

Hopefully, that source is buying just as much from you, as you are buying from them. Otherwise, what you've got is a "trade deficit", which, apparently, is a very bad thing?
