I have seen it in several places and have a freind who works for them. They direct people to planet press, but I am sure many others would work. My friend has demoed me the product and it is simple stupid and should be ultrareliable. I had some issue getting over the look of the output, but once I thought about what most of the vdp and dirtect mail stuff is meant to do I figure no one will care if it gets done faster, more reliably and cheaper.

I worked for them for 4 years in the UK, product is good does what it is supposed to do, however Riso have very little knowledge of VDP the comcolour did when I sold it have one RIP(fiery) option which was very basic and still only do now i belive , planet press is fantastic for transpromo work. Riso biggest downside is they when I was there they used sell on click charge basis against volume commitment so commit to say 500,000 prints for year then click would be say 4p that includes all toner call outs etc fine but do the maths you commit to 5 years and thats £100,000 for a low quality very fast reliable inkjet.It was a long time when i worked there but please check the contract, and also the clause on ink coverge. I can't provide any direct feedback on the Riso although I know they have many installations running transactional work.
