Same ink density but with different lab value for both RMGT and Roland presses

Hi,

I would like to ask what factors can affect the lab color value of the solid ink density? We are using same ink for both press. Any press variables that can affect this?

I think the ideal is to find the lowest possible delta E results and then you will have the density of each machine, which may well be different.
A multitude of variables can transform the results if with a single machine it is already difficult to control, imagine with multiple machines.;);)

Hi xmoles,

I thought with the same set of inks and substrate, it should give the same ink density to get the lowest delta E?

By the way, the inks also give a different inks density reading for the lowest delta E after printing for quite some time...for the both of the press.
