Hi everyone,
I recently acquired a Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 74 from 2003 with CP2000 console. The press has both PresetLink and ManagementGate licensed/active.
I’m trying to load CIP3/PPF ink preset files into the press using .ppf files generated by PressPercent, but I honestly don’t understand the correct workflow to make the CP2000 actually receive and load the job data.
So far:
PDF → RIP → PPF → SM74 automatic ink preset loading
Any real-world experience with CP2000, PresetLink, CIP3/PPF, or Heidelberg integration would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

So far:
- I already assigned a static IP to the press
- Network connection is working
- I can generate .ppf files
- But I don’t know how the files are supposed to reach/import into the CP2000
- Does PresetLink monitor a network folder automatically?
- Do I need additional Heidelberg software between prepress and the press?
- What exactly does ManagementGate do?
- Was this originally designed for network transfer or external media/cards?
- Has anyone successfully integrated a CP2000 SM74 with a modern workflow?
- Is there a specific folder structure or filename format required?
