Sheetfed UV - alternative ink & AQ sequence

Just wondering if an uncoated paper was aqueous primed first, and then printed with UV inks, whether this'd allow for denser colours than if it didn't have the AQ?

Yes slightly, but an underprint oleoresinous varnish (similar to OP Varnish) would work better. Dry trap of course.

Thanks D Ink Man. I'm guessing the paper's absorbancy would mean its surface doesn't appear changed. Wouldn't it cause yellowing though? Cheers

Ask your ink supplier for a non-yellowing overprint varnish. These products are water white and should work great at sealing the sheet for your dry trap color to POP!
