We are looking at a 2001 Heidelberg Printmaster qm 46-2 color about 17 million impressions and a AB Dick 9980 with about 9 million impressions. I run quite a few envelopes and then just ncr, LH, BC and regular junk. Any input on pro's and con's of either machine?

Quick master is not the best envelope press but with a feeder it should work. #10 and #9 are a breeze but A2 thru A7 tend to be a a problem. An envelope feeder will help. Anything else the Quckmaster will blow the Ab Dick out of the water. If a 9980 has a Thead then run away from it. A QM 46 can lay down a solid as good as a GTO on both units

the guy who runs our QM has been running it for 10 years. He has no problems running anything, from NCR to envelopes. keep up with the maintenance and you could run it all.
