[SOLVED] 1175P black halftones and screens are printing as CMYK build even though file is only using K.

Does thing ring any bells with you other 1175 users? I have a large remit order that is K/K and it wants to use all the inks for some reason. Solid K is just K but halftones and K percentages are a CMYK build for some reason. Checking and unchecking the preserve 100% black has no effect. Thank you for any insight.

I discovered the solution.

Turn off color management on the DFE.

Hi,

One other suggestion, there may be a time when you need this option but do not want to turn of the CM fully. There should be an option to "Preserve Pure Black" on your DFE. Keep an eye out for that, it may be useful one day.
