A helicopter pilot and his co-pilot were flying into Seattle when the fog rolled in as thick as pea soup. They couldn't see a thing and the co-pilot was starting to become alarmed.
In the distance, the pilot could barely make out the outline of a tall office building. So, he pulled closer to the building and could see through one of the windows that there was a conference meeting going on.
The pilot took out a sheet of paper and wrote: "WHERE ARE WE ?" and then held it up to the window so the people in the office building could see it.
The conference attendees immediatey went to work, took a sheet a paper and responded to the pilot's inquiry. They wrote: "YOU'RE IN A HELICOPTER" and held it up to the window.
The pilot immediately took out his maps and plotted a direct course to SEA-TAC airport and then landed the helicopter safely.
Once on the ground, the co-pilot said "I don't understand. How did that reply get us safely down?"
The pilot replied: "Well, the answer they gave me was technically correct, but, totally useless. So, I figured that had to be the Microsoft building. Having flown in Seattle before, I knew where the airport was from there."
