Thermal News Gold Developing

Kodak offers that "KODAK 1090 Thermal Plate Developer" for less chemical consuption. Does anyone have experiences with that chemistry. Is it indeed lower than 1080 developer?
And would it be possible to run Fujis LH-NN plate with that chem? We're using both vendors for backup reasons...

Thanks for short responses!

Hi Superuser 74,
the 1090 developer has a lower replenishment rate compared to 1080 and can process up to 20m2/litre compared to 10m2/litre with 1080.
The bath cycle life can also be extended dependant on volume throughput.
1090 being a lower pH developer means you cannot process the Fuji plate as this needs a higher pH chemistry with a seperate developer and replenisher to keep bath activity. The plate may look developed but would probably tone on press.
Trust this helps answer your questions,
regards
John
