Need to provide idea & tech solution to a client fir a leaflet that will be printed in around 100.000 pieces for a soft drink. They would like it somewhat special, one of ideas is to print a special "cool enough?" spot on it, that would appear if drink served is cooled to suitable temperature and pressed against it. Other ideas involved printing a sort of air thermometer or similar, uv index or anything at can be produced at low cost but is out of ordinary and appealing for customers to keep the leaflet.

Any ideas, suggestions and / or directions in finding also a suitable tech solution? We are based in EU. Thank you in advance.

Thermocromatic ink can be quite eye catching when used right. Your supplier should be able to produce different colors and different temperature thermocromatic ink, and using several temperatures you could produce a thermometer effect. One thing to consider is momentary exposure to very high temperature and prolonged exposure to high temperatures can damage the thermocromatic properties of the ink.
