Truflow 6.0 dot shapes CTP

we have 2 Screen Imagesetters using different dotshapes. Wondering which one people prefer
one square and one using round these are are the only dot shapes available to me on the Tiff output

Can someone please define what each of these dot shapes stands for? Much appreciated

Have you tried contacting Screen with this question? I would love to get more info myself as Screen has nothing about their screening on their web site. If you can output 1 bit tiffs from your workflow then you can get samples to see what the different settings actually do.

Here's my speculation of the first one TF1-024EL01M:
TF1 = Truflow
24 = 2400 dpi
EL01 = Elliptical dot
M = Medium lpi

L = Low lpi
M = Medium lpi
H = High lpi

SQ likely means Euclidean (round SQuare round)
CH might mean CHain dot
"-12" might refer to the screen being rotated by 12°

Remember though that these are just my guesses.

Round dot (doesn't form a checkerboard at 50%) is best for AM/XM screening.

BTW AFAIK Truflow has 40 screen sets available. Here's the list.
