Two Sided Proofing

Short of loading pre-cut sheets into an Epson (or other brand) and manually flipping the paper over to print the second side, the only automated two-sided proofing solution that I know of is an ImpoProof.

Of course, if someone knows of another automated solution, please let me know.

Best regards,

You have been missing out! ImpoProof has 300' of paper and runs unattended and drops proofs in basket. Great for books and lots of press forms.

We have this, but we use Epson printers. Our system is 11+ years old and showing its age, and hopefully, it's easier to load paper and set up than our current setup.

@SierraOffice, does your workflow offer any kind of feature that can break down the overall ripped imposition into 1-up's and/or printer spreads? If so, you might be able to produce some of your work with a network printer or copier that has a duplexer. Just a thought...

Whatever our imposition is, sheetwise, work & turn, tumble, etc., the proof comes out the way it was impositioned. We just have to select it in Apogee.

You have Apogee, perfect! Do you have the 'Split for Proof' license? If so, that is what I was describing. It breaks down the main imposition into either 1-up pages (for unbound jobs) or 2-up spreads (for bound jobs) so that they can be printed on a laser printer. I've been using S4P for about 6 months and I love it!
