Uncoated Duplexing Question

Hey everyone,
we have a customer who really likes the Springhill Bristol Pink vellum 67 lb cover. The sheet itself is pretty thin for a cover on a book. Last year we had it sent out to be duplexed, but the glue our vendor used made the sheets bow a good bit. I was thinking about using an 80 lb coated cover to be between the sheets, but I am afraid it will effect the quality (white showing between the pink sheets/final size of book is 5.5x7. Cover is 2up so we run the risk of the white sheet sticking out a little bit) Anyone have recommendations on a adhesive that would keep the moisture low between the sheets? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
