Variable data to a grid - ID - CSV

Hi all, new member, first Post, here goes.

I have been given a laydown in ID to produce business cards that are laminated both sides and die cut with rounded corners, the ID file is 21 up and the info on the base artwork has to eventually print ( there are some small black bars that appear in the gutters that must print ). The variable data runs from top left as 00001 to bottom right 00021 and so on but how do I do this and produce a final pdf.

Darren, You didn't say what VDP application you are using. With Jet Letter's PageBuilder PRO you would simply create one business card with both static and variable elements and then use the N-Up tool to arrange the print layout however you prefer the images to be printed.

Without having to buy anything, you can use InDesign's built-in Data Merge to do this. Here's a good instructional video to get you going:
