Viscosity of Aqueous Coatings

Dear all,

I'm looking for a conversion sheet, or at least a formula, and I was hoping one of you might have it.

- Need to convert viscosity readings from a Zahn 4 to a Zahn 3 cup. (I have a recommended viscosity with a Zahn 4 but need to convert it to a 3).
- Need to know how much viscosity should be expected to change with temperature differences using a Zahn 3 (for example, a 17-19 second coating at 75 degrees. What does that translate to at 85 degrees?)

Thanks for any assistance you can provide!

NM you have to buy it. I have one hanging on the wall in the lab, hold on.

Ok here you go:

#4 EZ = #3 EZ
17.1 = 21.3
17.7 = 22.2
18.4 = 23.0
19.1 = 24.0

At 85F you will see faster times. Many coatings as well as other fluids do not have a linear correlation to temperature. It will usually have curvature to it. The best place to obtain temperature info will be your coating manufacturer.
