Hi everyone, first time poster, long time listener.

i have an Epson 9900 that came with a pc with the Wastach Rip preinstalled on it (with dongle)

now, the pc is giving me issues, i think something has become corrupt, i wanted to know how tricky it would be to reinstall the RIP onto a newly formatted pc? is it just like standard software or will i need to call a print tech out?

Cheers for the advice.

As you have made this post, I think it would be a safer option to call a technician for now and sit with him through the process so next time you can do it alone. It is not insanely hard but can be messed up.

Please check if you have available the installation file for the version of SoftRIP you are using. If not you can download it from http://www.gotekgroup.com/ftp/user/Wasatch/ . Download only the file for the version you are currently using. Before starting installation on your new PC, copy the directory where your SoftRIP is currently installed (normally it's something like wwrip70 for ver.7.0 or wwrip69 for ver.6.9 under drive C: or D:. Paste this directory to your new PC. Then start installation from the installation file downloaded from above mentioned web site. when you have to choose the path for installation please choose the same drive and directory where you've paste the directory from your old PC. That's all.
