The company I work for is in need of a new cutter. We currently have a Formax Cut-true 27s and it has constantly given us problems. Can any one recommend a cutter they are using? We need for it to be able to cut 19x19

The biggest question going to be asked is how much are you going to be using the cutter? Cutting all day everyday? Or not as frequent?

We primarily use Challenge cutters. Our smallest one is a 26.5" from the 70's that we bought new. It has been remarkably reliable and is used daily. It isn't as fast as our newer cutters, but if you aren't cutting a ton, I would go for simplicity and reliability over speed.

J_DVRS, another factor is what exactly are you cutting/printing? Primarily digital or offset? Sheet sizes? We are a medium size digital business and use mainly a duplo digital cutter - running all day at times. This may be an option depending on your workflow.

We have a duplo dc 615 that works great for business cards, postcards, etc... but I do a lot of digital paper cutting (4up books etc)

We use a DC 616 for 98% of all our cutting, books to business cards. Of course books offer their own challenges but it is a work horse. We are 100% digital. Can't cut 19 x 19 though. Largest sheet we run through is 13 x 26

We are running 2 Polars, one with a microcut junior and one thats programmable . .. years w/o a problem
