Eastman Kodak Co. (EK) has agreed to acquire Design2Launch Inc.
“Kodak's strength in workflow is one of our greatest competitive assets, and we are committed to investing in and growing our capabilities to better serve our customers,” said Philip J. Faraci, President and Chief Operating Officer, Eastman Kodak Company. “Design2Launch is a proven player in the rapidly expanding corporate solutions software market and, when completed, this acquisition will enable us to broaden our portfolio of solutions and open new markets within the changing graphic communications marketplace.”

Dateline May 4, 2016

BLUE Software announced today the acquisition of The Eastman Kodak Company’s (NYSE: KODK) Design2Launch software and services business.

I was going to say that they are throwing their hat into the "online technology/storefront/automated workflow" ring like EFI, but, seeing as how they can't even get their own servers to operate properly, I'd have to say are heading to hell in a hand-basket
 
Ooops. I misunderstood. I just quickly read it. Did not see that they bought it in 2008, and, now are selling it in 2016. I guess they couldn't get it to meet it's objectives. As a wise businessman once told me: "Don't get emotionally involved in business decisions. Objectively break it down in to these three questions: What's Working? What's Not? What's Next?" I guess "Design2Launch" was in the "What's Not?" category.
