Xenith Rip Manager and Leopard

We recently upgraded one of our Macs to OS X 10.5.8, which seems to have broken Xenith Rip Manager. The screen will no longer refresh when making changes. Clicking on things like the Lock or Retry Button appear to have no effect. (They do but you just can't see it.) It's virtually impossible to work this way.

Funny thing is if I do a safe boot it will work fine. Rip Manager version is 6.0.3.

Anyone else seen this behavior?

Thanks,
Brian

We have the identical configuration and experience the same behavior. It looks like RIP Manager looses the connection with the RIP.

Rebooting works, but it is a pain in the neck. Remounting the RIP drive on your desktop or restarting RIP Manager on your Mac works most of the times.

I recently had the same issue begin, however I didn't do any system upgrades or installs that should affect it. Running OS 10.5.6. I can no longer get a screen refresh. All else including preview seems to be fine. Restarting Rip Manager 6.0.3 client all the time is a pain. I reinstalled Rip manager but no improvement. Any thoughts from Xitron?

I got the Rip Manager to refresh. I deleted the aRipPrefs preferences from the users/library/preferences folder and restarted. All seems well again!

Tried dumping the prefs file but that didn't work for me. I have noticed, however, that some days Rip Manager will work fine and other times won't respond at all. Haven't figured out why yet.

I did contact Xitron about this issue. I don't have a service contract and they wanted $300.00. I said I'd wait for a while.
