So our 1000 has out of the blue decided to bounce lead to tail by 2mm in either direction. The tech has replaced about everything but still no luck. Anyone else experience this?

After nearly 2 weeks of replacing control boards, drive motors, re-booting system software, even the entire registration assembly, all with no resolve. It turns out that it was the Image Transfer Belt that was causing the registration to move around. So all you 1000 owner/operators lock that into the memory banks for safe keeping.

We had this same problem. Drove us crazy for about a week. Can't tell you how many hours we wasted trying to figure it out. In our case we actually replaced the IBT belt and it still didn't help. Turned out to be a bad black drum. Sometimes it's the simplest of things. Glad you solved it.

Tech said it had to do with reading the patch under the belt. Some how it changed the placement of the image on the belt.
