Xerox has been working on a digital offset technology which might be closer to becoming an actual process.
It is described in an article at Print Business Magazine,
https://printbusiness.co.uk/news/Xerox-bets-on-digital-offset-printing/116866/
I had seen some patents on this a while ago and so I did know they were working on something of interest but it was too early to see it as a practical possibility. Now it seems they have overcome some of the issues. In a way it has some similarity to Landa's concept but the differences are interesting.
Anyhow, it is something of interest to follow.
