XM-pie VS Mindfire

There are several distinct differences between LookWho'sClicking cross-media tracking capabilities and XMPie Marketing Console that you need to be aware of.

The first thing you have to remember is that LookWho'sClicking is a hosted personalized URL service, whereas XMPie is an integrated cross-media solution, which offers PURLs, but also print, email and text messages for SMS.

As a result, XMPie's Marketing Console enables you to track *all* events across your cross-media campaign, not just web page visits and responses -- for example you can track which printed pieces have been produced and for whom, furthermore Marketing Console provides a discrete level of reporting through its ability to track each variable element on every communication independently, and whether they change over time, giving complete visibility for analytical and reporting purposes. Also XMPie uProduce exposes a tracking API, which enables tracking to be extended outside of the default tracking controls built into uCreate XM (the XMPie controls interface for Dreamweaver). Using the API (and the AddEvent method of the Tracker class), you can track any event that occurs on a web page, e.g. click on a button or menu.

Switching over to LookWho'sClicking, what's worth mentioning is their ROI calculator in their tracking interface, where you can look at the ROI results for cost per visitor, completed survey, closed opportunity and more. However, you need to manually enter the details first, then click 'calculate'. Essentially, you could achieve the same results by using a calculator, but it's quite a convenient tool. You can see this on my blog at: VeeDeePee [LookWho'sClicking]

Finally, the type of reporting is quite different between these two solutions. You can get an idea of the differences by reviewing the user interface at:

I hope this helps.
