Xrite 939 ToolCrib5 Excel

I cannot get my 939 to communicate with Excel using Xrite's Toolcrib 5. I want to produce Lab values in excel. I'm not sure if this is a data formatting issue. Or, if I am supposed to download some firmware file.

Here is some background info:

My device is connected. I can send 'vs' and receive the correct version info.

My device hardware settings is as follows:
Separator: Comma
Delimiter: CR
Data Types: Colormetric
Auto XMT: On

I have excel open and running, with a cell selected and active. The x-key is running in the background. The x-key settings are:

Replace 'Comma' with 'Right'

'Filter words with Letters' is selected

'Allow Numbers Only' selected

Any help with setup would be appreciated. Thank you.

I gave up on it. I use Color Shop X as an interface now. There have to be other, better, ways of doing this, but I'm not presently aware of them. When I measure a color bar I have to use a different workbook in Excel for each color, or else processing that data becomes impossible. It's awkward, at best. We have X-Rite Intellitrax scanning densitometers on press, but I can't get at them and have to work by hand.
I tried Toolcrib several times, and even tried working with X-Rite to make it work for me, before I finally gave up. I'm not happy with their technical or customer service, and it's not only due to this one issue. Oh, well, there has to be a better way, but I don't have the answers at this point. Try Color Shop X, it's only $100, although you will need a seperate copy for each installation - I own four!
