Xrite/Komori 40" calibration of "plaques"

We are having trouble with our Xrite spectro wanting to calibrate the "plaques" on the heads every 1-2 minutes. Traditionally, it will want to do this calibration first thing in the morning when the console and computer are started. Suddenly, without real reason, it has started to ask every 1-2 minutes.

This has become a burden because there is no cancel button and then scan our colorbars. When my pressman is running a job, the "plaque" calibration takes 30 seconds to complete. This causes a lag in color control on our 4 color work.

Any thoughts on why/how this has changed? We have removed the head, and cleaned the gold prongs to make sure they are not corroded or scortched. We also have cleaned the white/black plaques with cleaner to ensure there is nothing on them...

Yep. We power the press, computer, and console down everyday. I tried it again today just to be safe with no luck. If we do not click on the PDC, but instead stay on the KMS, it does not ask. It is as if when you are in the PDS software, it is seeking some sort of calibration. Truely weird!!

Hello, There should be a drop down window for calibration on the task bar. That might give you information. It sounds like it could be a software problem though. Those hard drives don't last long on the PDCS either.
