A vulnerable point was found in our vBulletin forum software that allowed hacker access. Others were affected, as well as PrintPlanet. Thanks PLN — Yes, we looked at some other options when we upgraded the site in 2015. There are very few options that can deal with our level of activity and extensive database — not something that Wordpress can handle, for example. At that time, we thought upgrading from vB-4 to vB-5 was a more straightforward / painless upgrade = "The devil you know ...", and it's been OK until now. So, once again, we are looking into options.
