During her Keynote Address at the National Postal Forum, USPS Postmaster General/CEO Megan J. Brennan announced that Informed Mail Delivery—their new feature that lets customers see emailed images of incoming physical mail—has attracted more than 2 million users, and more than 10,000 are signing up daily.
Informed Delivery—initially rolled out as a pilot program but nationwide since April—is free and provides emailed images of incoming mail to customers, bringing physical mail into the mobile / digital lives of consumers. The service is designed to enhance customer experience by adding value and assisting the mailing & shipping industries to compete in a dynamic economy.
Informed Delivery is also integrated with their Informed Visibility platform—the Postal Service’s data/analytics platform—enabling coordinated marketing campaigns. By providing real-time delivery data to senders, businesses can tailor JIT messaging, based on mail movement.
