Well beware of agents who may guide u on wrong track to sell their dump products. Better look at your requirements and analyze that.

But before you do make out your critical list. What is important to you. Quality / Reliability / repeatability / ease of use / acceptability. Then choose.

Really? Based on what data?

Independent market data (VSM Report) shows that 71% of the digital plate volume in India in 2010 is thermal. The projection is for that share to remain fairly steady going forward too.

Violet only started getting popular there in the last 18 months when TechNova started making violet plates. The VAST majority of CTP devices in the country are still Thermal - especially in the larger, higher-quality shops.

I agree with kevin@kodak. Violet started selling in India only after Technova started producing Violet plates. Till them Technova pushed thermal.

Most print shops doing quality work are on thermal.

Where did the 92% come from? Are you associated with Technova?

NOPE man....i am not.

i am planning to have a CTP setup..with my research, talking to press people in india...most of them have suggested me that one...

that figure of 92% is not drive from any research, that my personal notion.

i am already convened.

i really like to mention one more thing, i have dealing with fuji, agfa, kodak, screen, proteck....

but kodak pre-sales customer services are good, they really care for customer' time, and money...

but i dont know weather they would maintain their pace after sales too...

That's a very valid concern for any company you choose to do business with. All I can say is that I have personal faith in our team there, and if you DO run into any problems, I'll certainly do my best to ensure they're held accountable to our customers.

now you have another choice along with Thermal and violet ctps, it is ctcp from CRON, This ctcp can produce the quality allmost close to thermal ctps and equipment price also reasonable.

up to 200 lpi after printing you will not be able to make out which sheet is printed with ps plate and which sheet is printed with thermal plate.

as of now , both technologies ( thermal & violet ) have matured and results are equally good. It is your call and where you are feeling comfortable.

Well, if u want to buy CTP mc with high price, i suggest u purchase heidelberg brand, but if ur bugdet is lower, chinese brand-KRON,DOIE,AMSKY is first to choose.
