Transparencies on Versant 80

I'm being asked for the first time to run 8.5 x 11 transparencies on my Versant 80. The recommended media document lists 8.5 x 11 clear and 12 x 18 paper-backed as approved. Anyone have any experience to share? I'd prefer clear and would like to hear about successes or failures from this group instead of Xerox. Thank you

I've run them with stripe or backing on our J75s, runs fine.

Well, no. But if I'd try this, I'd set the paper to red or black. You see the CIS sensor wouldn't see its beam's reflection so it would presume a misfeed.

J75 runs clear transparencies with no stripes super easily if you use the transparency setting and feed from the bypass. Never had a jam.

Just like the V80, and prints it with higher quality than C75.

Thanks to all that replied. I did wind up running clear no stripe 8.5 x 11's and they performed perfectly.

I have a Xerox V2100. Colored paper will calibrate fine. But when the actual job is run (black only) one side will be shifted quite a bit. I am set to white paper on the Fiery. Does that selection have anything to do with the CIS not finding the sheet edge or it is just for my own reference?
