i heard on the street today

Yep, got an automated email from Neenah this morning.

Then about 2 hours later got an automated email from one of our other suppliers saying "Hey, we still sell Neenah!"
Not wasting any time snagging that market share. ;)

Our Veritiv Rep just left. She stopped in with the news. Hope you have another supplier for bright stock (Astrobrights, Domtar hots etc). You think for the "Largest" paper seller in the country, wouldn't get bullied as much, but you can't piss the wrong folks off I guess. NO SOUP FOR YOU!

I gave our local Verativ dealer a ring and was told the relationship had been unexpectedly terminated by Neenah yesterday. He said they hope to land a deal with the Mohawk people who have contemplated producing a similar brite paper.

Lol, Mohawk literally just cancelled their Britehue line (in October/November 2018), due to the fact that French Paper no longer could (or wanted to) produce the line. We had to switch to Neenah's Astrobrights. Perhaps Mohawk will, in time, revive the Britehue line.

The stinky, dead elephant in the middle of the room is "Why did they dump them?"

This is not something done lightly.

Veritive was stocking virtually no Neenah lines using mill orders only. Neenah decided to support the stocking dealers. Neenah supports the dealers whom support them. A very simple concept that Veritive forgot.
Veritive has elected to go bigger in packaging they just added a 400,000 square foot warehouse in Columbus Ohio to enhance their packaging business.

i learned today that neenah is selling on amazon prime. free same day delivery in our area on purchases over $35.
