Globally, Agfa will increase their offset plate prices between 5%—10%, taking effect on April 1, 2021.

According to Agfa, “Despite internal cost reductions, the magnitude of rising prices is no longer sustainable. The price increase will be partly offset, as printers benefit from higher aluminum prices when they recycle their used plates.”

Reasons given for the price increase are soaring costs for—
  • Aluminum,
  • Energy,
  • Packaging materials, and
  • Freight.
Agfa sales will be in contact with customers to discuss details & support, taking into account existing agreements in place.
