    Editing images in Acrobat

Yes you are. We are talking about a Photoshop feature, not the "edit images" command in Acrobat. When you open a PDF with Photoshop, you get a dialog box that allows you to open up either the PDF or the images in the PDF. I don't believe the purpose of that feature is to edit the images and...

D@mn it... am I ever going to be able to upgrade to Leopard?

    Editing images in Acrobat

You wouldn't. I have always thought that that features purpose was to enable you to extract the image or images from the PDF in order to use them in Photoshop, not to edit and place them back in the PDF.

    Quick rant

Yeah, I know how to convert it, it was just a rant about the two steps. My thought is, if I am converting colors, I hope to god the PDF didn't come from in-house. If someone in-house includes spots, they should be there, but the other colors should be in the right color space too. So, I don't...

    Quick rant

Why doesn't Acrobat 9 understand that when I say any object of any color space, I also mean Spot colors?

    DearAdobe.com

agreed. Most of the responses came from a lack of knowledge. One I remember about InDesign was something like please make it so that I can specify column size and number in my paragraph styles because it is annoying to keep format columns every time I import. Use object styles buddy and look at...

    Web or sheet-fed

I have a sort of general question. Our company typically publishes on newsprint. However, we have two monthly pubs that we are taking glossy. Both have a small pressrun of around 6,000 and are roughly 40 to 50 pages a month. We have only had previous glossy work printed on sheet-fed printers...

    Preview Issues !!

It may be really simple. Are you fully updated to 8.1.2? We had the same problem with Acro 8 a while ago on just one computer here and I am struggling to remember what fixed it. I am pretty sure an update fixed it, but it could have been color settings. I know you said that you checked color...

Survey about use of Acrobat on the Mac

Re: Survey about use of Acrobat on the Mac Yeah, it is a terrible file (technically and aesthetically). However, I just get the file and have to do with it what I can. On second thought, I could have put it in InDesign and had that convert the colors when exporting to a new PDF, but that...

Re: Survey about use of Acrobat on the Mac I emailed just one example file to both you and Dov. Please let me know what you think. Thank you, Dan R.

Survey about use of Acrobat on the Mac

Re: Survey about use of Acrobat on the Mac I believe that is what is happening to my docs too. Acrobat color convert causes problems with transparency and clipping sometimes. Photoshop, on the other hand, works.
