I agree. It helps seal the silver ink. You will also like the improved transfer in the roller train. For years I have been generally using 3 ounces gloss varnish to each pound of 877. :)

All 3 items of advice can be used to do what it takes to reduce the marking. If this is a new XL 105, those green belts the machine came with... you might not get same replacement. The grey ones we use, I find don't last very long...maybe 3-4 months at best. We/I are looking for an alternative...

Albert, Check to see if your solvent is water miscible. That could be the problem. Most wash cycles alternate solvent/water/solvent/water etc.. if so, try to change the cycle to deliver solvent only for the first 80% of cycle then finish with the water. On my Heidelberg we had just that issue...
