    violation of work space

Ditto. I've run into similar situations as you mention tampa, but at the end of the day, it's a tool I use at work, not _my_ computer.... so I don't say anything and spend the first 20 minutes setting my workstation back up! "Sorry, can't do that for you right now, I've gotta fix my...

    Going Processor-less??? Advice needed

Ditto. I've used both plates, completely interchangeable on our Creo and in the pressroom. If floor-space and chem. costs are your concerns, get a chem-free plate, that doesn't require processing after imaging, nor special chemistry. If you bang Kodak hard enough, they'll charge you the same...

    Xerox Color 1000 Press

Understatement of the week.... We have 2 of the 700's on the floor, I bang the hell out of them all day long. They don't do what the salesman said they would, they barely do what the brochure said they would, and I have a tech on-site so often, we're considering assigning a parking-spot to them...

    Kodak "Install" files?

My Matchprint Proofer $hit the bed last night, had to ghost the drive this AM. I'm trying to install the Kodak proofer controller software. Original DVD has ".install" file on it. Readme says refer to your "technet" article on how to install. Winblows doesn't know what to do when you...

    Expanded Gamut

What about orange and purple 6/C combo's? Swapping PMS109 for the Yellow channel (not an additional 'bump' plate, still 4/C, just no longer process), that sort of thing? Where does that apple fall? I've always found it difficult to exclude a given process (like those mentioned), and found it...

    Expanded Gamut

Hey Gordo, isn't it considered generically "Hi-Fidelity Printing", if it's not Pantone Branded? Big fan of Glynn Hartley and the ICISS product. Used it for several years in a past life. Glynn is a great trainer, and the product is amazing. Very impressive (even if it does take a bit to learn...

    Prinergy OPI SUCKS!!!!!

And they charge you a hefty percentage of your purchase price for the 'privilege'. Amazingly, the schmucks in the corner office have no clue why their business is in the toilet (not selling enough camera's). :D - Mac

    Prinergy OPI SUCKS!!!!!

Thanks Rob, I do appreciate the offer of assistance (but the job is off press already... ) Process proofs? The customer will never know. Thankfully double-burning plates still works. ;) - Mac

    Prinergy OPI SUCKS!!!!!

Dunno Matt, whatever's under the hood for EVO 4.1. Hi Rob, Thanks for stepping up (takes a pair!) Yes, Hires DCS files reside in the same folder as the source PDF I'm trying to refine, and I've pointed the workflow to said folder (tried a half-dozen other locations on the Prinergy box as well)...

    Prinergy OPI SUCKS!!!!!

Only Kodak could come up w/ a product that does this: OPI can't find an image, can't replace, job fails... Yet, it tells me it managed to find the spot color recipe embedded in the file, that it can't find to do replacement on! What a piece of ****??!?!?!!!!!!! How do you find the recipe in...
