Hi Tommi
Stickers are normally Self adhesive vinyl. Check with 3M & Avery Dennison, they both have several options.
HP's Media locator is also a very good source for information https://www.printos.com/ml/#/medialocator
But, I do not think you will find a media that fits all of your criteria...
ok, thanks! it was a few years ago I worked for Esko so i'm not fully up to date with their releases.
For automated trapping I recommend to have a look at AutomationEngine.
There is not many pdf editors that I know of that will do trapping.
Esko is about or just launched a new Pdf editor ArtPro +.
And then you have PackZ. Its probably good too, but I have never tried it.
Esko has a few older editors that handles pdf's that might be interesting.
Packedge and NEO.
Most rips cant predict spot colour overprint correctly.
Not even Illustrator can do that.
Therefore the proof you get wont be correct.
have a look at GMG opencolor
Hi,
I've been working in the industry for a while with some large companies.
Normally this is how an approval process works.
Content and technical stuff can be approved with pdf's or web approval systems.
But when it comes to colour, it's always done with a colour managed hard copy that has...
I have created several spot-colours and it has always been for a specific customer.
So I always start with the customer name and then the colour described in words.
Just like Coca Cola do
Coke_red, Coke_dark-red etc
But P&G and Tetra Pak are using numbers to name their colours.
i guess it all...
With an xml workflow its easy as imjohnh says.
Create a smartname [File A] [File B]
Rename one file to A and the other to B and change [file] to the smartname
It might be possible with scripting. But i'm not good enough to be able to give any advice on that.
Power Layout for illustrator is not an automated step & repeat solution.
You should have a look at Automation Engine, that's the tool that will step & repeat automatically.
It can be based on...
Thanks Gordo!
I understand why there is dot gain and why that was unavoidable back in the film days.
What I don't understand are why we still configure the printing process with that factor in mind.
Stephen, there probably won't be any gains if we printed linear.
But there seams to be a lot...
Can someone explain in simple words why 50% should print as 68%
I understand that back in the days dot gain was unavoidable due to the manual process.
I'm just guessing now, but the only way it was possible to compensate for dot gain was with the ink and printing press it self.
What I don't...
